Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in turning concepts into reality through detailed design, analysis, and optimization.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Creating 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Performing structural and thermal analysis to ensure designs meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet project objectives.
- Conducting design reviews and presenting findings to key stakeholders.
- Identifying and resolving design issues and recommending improvements.
- Producing accurate documentation, including assembly instructions and bill of materials.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to perform structural and thermal analysis.
- Experience with product development from concept to production.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Salary
The salary for this position ranges between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
