Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 per Annum

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join us in Gloucestershire. 

Position Overview

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in our engineering team, contributing to the design and development of various mechanical systems and components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components using CAD software.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and performance testing to ensure design functionality and reliability.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and manufacturing engineers, to ensure successful integration and execution of designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during product development and testing phases.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality control procedures, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or related position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
