Principal Software Engineer

£95,000

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to be a driving force in establishing a new team to help build tools and the ecosystem to take our product from good to great.

This will be working on building the Platform, APIs and platforms for moving APIs to help integrate with customers. You will be working closely with other software engineering teams, product, sales and architecture, to understand what our customers need, provide competitor analysis and reduce downtime.

Your expertise will be invaluable in defining architecture principles, styles, policies, and standards. You'll create reference patterns and implementations to address broad concerns like enterprise-wide system integration. Providing technical leadership across multiple feature teams, you'll ensure adherence to standards and best practices, guiding teams towards their implementation.

Taking ownership of internal technical documentation for your assigned applications and services, you'll contribute to the overall Engineering knowledge base. Your keen eye will help pinpoint strengths and weaknesses in our enterprise system, allowing you to advocate for effective solutions.

Up to 50% of your time will be dedicated to coding activities directly supporting roadmap deliverables. You'll stay ahead of the curve by monitoring new technologies, applications, and ways to harness them for strategic advantage, influencing build vs. buy decisions.

Building strong partnerships and relationships both internally and externally, you'll foster collaboration to achieve shared goals. Communicating strategies clearly and meaningfully to the engineering group, you'll empower feature teams to actively contribute to the conversation.

In essence, you'll be a strategic thought leader, technical guide, and collaborative driver, shaping the future of our engineering landscape.
