Quality Manager – Electronics Manufacturing
Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

We are working in partnership with a well-established electronics manufacturing company based in Hitchin, who are now seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead their quality function.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business supplying into a variety of technical sectors. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards, managing compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO9001 and customer requirements
- Conduct internal audits and host external audits with customers and certification bodies
- Oversee quality inspection processes across production to ensure consistent standards
- Manage root cause analysis and non-conformance investigations (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive quality improvements
- Train and support staff on quality procedures and standards
- Maintain quality documentation and ensure traceability throughout the product lifecycle
- Act as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns and corrective actions
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment (ideally electronics or electromechanical)
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and other relevant quality standards
- Experience in internal auditing, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement
- Confident communicator able to liaise with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
