Senior Hardware Engineer – Cambridge/Hybrid - £60,000 pa - £85,000 pa

An Electronics manufacturer specialising in Power Electronics are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join their R&D team designing next generation Power Electronics solutions for a variety of industries including the rail & automotive sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new hardware solutions and improve existing designs
  • Work through the full design life cycle from concept to release
  • Work in a small, multi-disciplinary team with other Electronics Hardware & Software Engineers
  • Manage time efficiently to ensure on time delivery of projects

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or another relevant discipline
  • PCB design & Layout (Altium preferred)
  • Analogue & Digital Circuit Design
  • Functional test & verification
  • FPGA design & simulation
  • VHDL/Verilog

Any mix of the following is nice to have:

  • Power Electronics (DC-DC converters etc.)
  • Embedded Software (Embedded C/C++)
  • Microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, M-Series etc.)
  • Networking protocols/Communication interfaces (Ethernet, MODBUS, TCP/IP etc.)
