Supply Chain Director

Our client, founded in 2020 with a turnover of over £200M and manufacturing 10,000+ products, is looking for a Supply Chain Director to lead logistics and purchasing. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team based in Swindon. Responsibilities:
- Team management and development to shape and drive a high-performing team of 7 across Logistics and Purchasing.
- Supplier management and evaluation, monitoring pricing and cost effectiveness
- Finding and selecting new suppliers and negotiating terms and pricing
- Developing planning/purchasing strategies, to ensure cost savings and supplier performance targets are met
- Overseeing logistics, selecting shipping agents/companies and negotiating pricing
- Monitoring quality and performance of service within the department, with the implementation of KPIs
- Monitoring pricing and cost effectiveness
Requirements:
- Experience of working in the UK Telecom Industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
- Strong legal knowledge for purposes of contract negotiation, rules on import/export of products.
- Possess strong commercial awareness, business acumen and drive to negotiate the best possible opportunities.
- Strong leadership and inter personal skills.
- Flexible approach to working to meet changing business priorities
- Proficient IT skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
