JOB – Project Manager

LOCATION – St Albans

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - £40,000-£60,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer providing a range of engineering solutions to companies across Europe and America. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in St Albans on a permanent basis.

The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • 5 or more years of Project Management experience to Senior or near Senior level
  • Hold PRINCE2 or a similar Project Management qualification
  • An educational or hands-on background in Engineering
  • Technical Mechanical Engineering knowledge
  • Be able to read engineering drawings / understand manufacturing processes
  • Strong client-facing experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Be flexible to travel as required

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
  • Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
  • Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
  • Working with design, purchasing and production departments
  • Presenting project plans and reports to management
  • Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
  • Maintaining technical documentation as required
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
  • Occasional travel as required
