Technical Buyer Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Type - Permanent My client specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of processing machinery. They are industry-leading in what they do having established a global presence with offices and manufacturing locations all across the globe. The role would be a Technical buyer position focusing on sourcing the correct products and services at the right time and price in line Material Requirements Planning, (MRP) requirements and approved requests in order to support the business plan and predicted stock levels. Focusing on sub-contract supply, the post will require close liaison with other members of the purchasing team and various other departments within the organisation.   Responsibilities -   Build strong, strategic partnerships with our suppliers to ensure the most cost effective solution without compromising on quality. Contribute and lead supplier negotiations, with the support of the Purchasing Team Leader and Purchasing Manager. Be responsible for sourcing and buying certain materials. Analyse Bills of Material (BoMs) and engineering drawings to understand key manufacturing requirements. Ensure effective management of key supplier performance.   Requirements -   A Procurement expert with thorough knowledge of all aspects of sourcing, commercial negotiation, supplier management. Experience in a similar role within a similarly complex and challenging business. Understanding of Procurement Processes. Ability to use Excel to analyse data to identify opportunities. Strong negotiating skills (internally & externally). Excellent communication skills at all levels internally and externally. Ability to build good working relationships with suppliers & internal customers.
